Based at the Mandarin Oriental Palace in Luzern, this internship focuses on the Food and Beverage department. The position is designed to ensure seamless daily operations within specific outlets while proactively addressing and anticipating the needs of guests.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional service for food and beverages
- Adhere to strict quality standards for guest interactions
- Assist supervisors with routine operational tasks
- Manage cash register transactions and perform accurate cash accounting
- Help prepare and execute special events
- Set up tables and service areas (Mise en Place) before service
- Arrange and clean restaurant, bar, and terrace spaces
- Follow hygiene protocols and HACCP guidelines to maintain cleanliness
Requirements
- Demonstrate an open-minded attitude and enthusiasm for guest interaction
- Show a strong commitment to service excellence
- Possess a warm, team-oriented, and guest-focused personality
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and guests
- Maintain excellent manners, a polished appearance, and positive charisma
- Work flexibly and remain effective under pressure
- Have very good proficiency in both German and English
