The company seeks a Chef de Rang for Room Service in Lucerne to deliver professional in-room dining, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain high hygiene standards.
This position focuses on the professional delivery of food and beverages directly to guests' rooms, while providing expert advice and dedicated customer care to ensure a seamless and high-quality experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages professionally within guest rooms.
- Provide expert advice and dedicated customer care to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Deliver in-room dining orders promptly, adhering to the agreed timeframes.
- Verify order accuracy and completeness before delivery to the guest.
- Prepare and assist with all VIP amenities.
- Set up tables or trays according to the order, ensuring compliance with quality and hygiene standards.
- Clear and collect tables after guest use or upon request.
- Prepare the necessary Mise en Place and maintain cleanliness in the Room Service area.
- Record all transactions in the cash register system and perform accurate cash accounting.
- Ensure all served products are correctly accounted for on the final bill before presenting it to the guest.
- Adhere to hygiene regulations and cleanliness standards as outlined in the HACCP guidelines.
Requirements
- A completed vocational training in the upscale hotel industry or gastronomy.
- Ideally 2-3 years of professional experience in a comparable position.
- Very good knowledge of German and English.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of the Infrasys cash register system and the SevenRooms booking system.
- Further foreign language skills.
