Founding Engineer, Roivant Health

Roivant Sciences seeks a Senior Founding Engineer to build core AI and data infrastructure for new healthcare ventures in a remote role based in Switzerland.

This position involves developing the foundational technology for emerging life sciences companies. The engineer will collaborate with operational and clinical leaders to quickly prototype and launch software solutions at the intersection of artificial intelligence and biomedical data. It is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role designed for a skilled developer interested in creating innovative health AI products.

Responsibilities

• Define technical strategies for new company launches, including assessing feasibility, determining data and infrastructure needs, and creating initial proof-of-concept systems.
• Create and refine tooling, infrastructure, and workflows to support large-scale AI/ML training and inference across various health and AI applications.
• Build and optimize data and model pipelines that combine multimodal health information, such as clinical text, omics, imaging, and sensor data, for AI/ML tasks.
• Work closely with domain experts and business stakeholders to integrate commercial insights into the design and deployment of models.

Requirements

• Proven experience in building and deploying machine learning or AI systems in production environments.
• Strong Python engineering capabilities with a focus on creating scalable and testable codebases.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-ambiguity settings where requirements frequently change.
