Baer AG seeks a Global Financial Accounting Business Analyst in Zürich to lead SAP Finance process design and optimization across 35+ entities.
This position focuses on leading the design, customization, and optimization of core financial accounting processes. The analyst translates complex business needs into scalable, compliant SAP solutions while supporting global operations across more than 35 entities and contributing to global projects.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, and other stakeholders.
- Analyze and document business requirements for SAP Finance processes.
- Support the implementation and optimization of SAP solutions.
- Drive process improvements and standardization across Finance functions.
- Contribute to SAP S/4HANA transformation and related future initiatives.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into SAP finance solution designs and specifications.
- Conduct process and gap analyses and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate and support testing activities including defect resolution.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, SAP consultants, and project teams throughout project lifecycles.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or SAP Finance Consultant.
- Good knowledge of SAP R/3 or SAP S/4HANA Finance processes.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, record-to-report (R2R) processes, and complex financial reporting.
- Fluent in English and/or German (written and spoken).
Nice to have
- Experience in a banking environment.
- SAP Finance certification.
