Financial Analyst (m/f/d)

HHJ BAU GmbH in Lengnau seeks a Financial Analyst to oversee accounting operations, manage forecasting and budgeting, and analyze data to support strategic decisions. This full-time, on-site role requires strong financial planning skills and proficiency with systems like SAP and Power BI.

This position focuses on ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the organization's forecasting and budgeting cycles. The analyst will manage accounting operations, investigate data quality, and build financial models to project trends and drive informed business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Examine transactional and operational data to spot irregularities, recommend adjustments, and guarantee precise reporting.
• Create and refine standard reports and dashboards to deliver financial insights and aid in monthly, quarterly, and annual planning.
• Mine data across multiple platforms to develop business intelligence tools and presentations.
• Resolve data discrepancies by collaborating with internal teams and system support to enhance data reliability.
• Work with business partners to define key assumptions and perform ad-hoc analysis to uncover actionable insights.
• Evaluate product and service profitability, pinpoint profit-and-loss drivers, and highlight potential risks or opportunities.
• Convert business inputs into financial assumptions and maintain forecast models covering revenue, pricing, expenses, and capital expenditures.
• Stay current with new analytical systems and tools to boost reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage the company's accounting workflows, financial statements, and internal control frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in financial planning and analysis within a large, global, matrixed organization, or an advanced degree with no prior experience required.
• Strong proficiency with SAP, Hyperion, Cognos, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for summarizing complex information clearly.
• Keen attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and capacity for rapid learning.
• Solid grasp of business processes, financial controls, and the ability to detect control gaps and suggest improvements.
