Finance Analyst - FP&A & Operations

Onward Medical seeks a Finance Analyst for FP&A and Operations in Lausanne. The role focuses on sales finance, reporting, and process improvement within a hybrid work model.

This position provides comprehensive exposure to financial planning and analysis, business partnering, and operational controlling. The core responsibility lies in sales finance, where the analyst supports the commercial cycle from invoicing through to cost of goods sold and inventory management. The role ensures robust financial processes while driving performance management across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.
• Compare actual performance against budgets and forecasts to identify key drivers and variances.
• Collaborate with internal business units to enhance financial performance management.
• Develop financial analyses, management reports, and ad hoc business insights.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for reporting and planning workflows.
• Serve as the main finance liaison for Sales Operations, coordinating customer onboarding, documentation, invoicing, and collections.
• Oversee the order-to-cash process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing alongside Sales and Customer Operations.
• Work with the Accounting team on inventory management, cost of sales, and revenue recognition.
• Assist with period-end closing activities on a monthly or quarterly basis.
• Support purchasing and inventory tasks from a financial perspective, collaborating with Operations and budget owners.
• Conduct periodic reviews of COGS variances and inventory valuations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of three years of experience in FP&A, controlling, accounting, or a similar finance function.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial and ERP systems.
• Fluent command of the English language.

• Prior experience in fast-growing, international, or medtech/life-sciences environments.
