Global New Product Lead, Neuroscience

Takeda is seeking a Senior Global New Product Lead in Neuroscience to drive strategic direction for its pipeline in Zürich. The role blends scientific insight with commercial strategy to guide early development and long-term planning.

This position operates at the intersection of scientific discovery and commercial strategy, aiming to shape the future of Takeda’s Neuroscience pipeline. By integrating insights from R&D, global commercial teams, and cross-functional experts, the role informs early product development decisions and defines long-term strategies for disease areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine long-term strategic plans for Neuroscience disease areas.
  • Perform early-stage commercial assessments, including opportunity analysis, competitive benchmarking, forecasting support, and value driver evaluation.
  • Collaborate with global scientific groups to influence early asset development roadmaps and craft strategic narratives.
  • Foster cross-functional cooperation among R&D, Medical, Access, and regional commercial teams.
  • Provide evidence-based strategic recommendations to support governance and high-level decision-making.
  • Deliver insights and assessments to support business development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Possess at least ten years of experience in strategy, new product planning, commercial roles, or similar fields.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex scientific and commercial data.
  • Have prior experience working within global matrixed organizational structures.

Nice to have

  • An advanced degree such as an MBA, MSc, or PhD in Neuroscience.
  • Previous experience in management consulting.
  • A genuine passion for innovation within the Neuroscience sector.
