Head of Global Supply Chain, Strategy & Excellence - Global Launch Center

Sanofi seeks a Director to lead Strategy & Excellence for its Global Supply Chain from Rotkreuz, CH. This onsite role involves managing a ~100-person team to drive global transformation, innovation, and strategic planning.

This position serves as a pivotal member of the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Head of Global Supply Chain. The role operates within a new, entrepreneurial entity that holds significant decision-making authority over global launch strategies, allowing the incumbent to shape the future of supply chain excellence on a worldwide scale.

Responsibilities

• Direct the global strategy for the supply chain, including long-term multi-year planning.
• Lead and manage the Global Supply Chain Strategy and Excellence Team, which comprises approximately 100 employees.
• Design, develop, and implement capabilities, processes, and standards from initial concept through to execution.
• Execute global change programs aligned with the company’s manufacturing, supply, and overall strategic goals.
• Oversee the rollout of supply chain transformation initiatives according to the defined strategic plan.
• Ensure best-in-class process design, evolution, rollout, auditing, and compliance in Integrated Business Planning (IBP), demand, and supply planning.
• Maintain high standards for sustainable network logistics and customer care processes.
• Build and deliver a robust data and analytics strategy, scaling innovations such as Agentic AI and other new technologies.
• Implement the Flow and Supply ecosystem according to the agreed multi-year roadmap.
• Manage the project portfolio for Global Supply Chain and drive the successful rollout of key transformational projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a pragmatic Supply Chain leader with a strong background in strategic or operational functions at regional or global levels.
• Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain operations.
• Strong leadership capabilities to drive transformation, foster innovation, and influence stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and deliver short, medium, and long-term strategies.
• Skill in translating operational visions into actionable strategies, excellence initiatives, and performance metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and inspire across all levels, including Executive Committee (ExCom), within a matrix structure.
• High emotional intelligence and unwavering business integrity.
• Acting as a role model for behaviors consistent with company values.

Nice to have

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
• A background in consulting.
