Responsibilities
- Guarantee manufacturing capacity for both established and incoming product lines.
- Oversee the introduction and launch of new items into production.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical or electrical issues occurring on the factory floor.
- Provide technical assistance for sensor assembly and cable preparation, participating in cross-departmental initiatives.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on manufacturing machinery.
- Draft and revise work instructions and operational plans.
- Implement and manage test specifications and operational parameters.
- Program and qualify production systems.
- Lead small-scale projects aimed at boosting efficiency and solving problems.
- Create and execute strategies to steadily raise productivity levels.
- Define and record process parameters.
- Choose methods for controlling production processes.
- Conduct time management measurements and analyses.
- Apply the Baumer Operations System principles, including Lean Six Sigma and topQ.
- Work closely with Industrial Engineering teams at the Swiss headquarters.
- Identify opportunities to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Fundamental knowledge of cable preparation techniques and sensor assembly procedures.
- Fluent spoken and written English skills.
- Strong proficiency with computer applications.
