This traineeship is part of the Business Unit Automotive & Industry, specifically within the Technical Services and Market Field Engineering Team. The program is structured to offer practical experience across various functions, help build a professional network, and prepare the trainee for an international role. It begins with a 12-month period in Widen, Switzerland, followed by a relocation to Bad Urach, Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent technical guidance and support to major clients, engineering firms, and consultants.
  • Analyze customer and market requirements to drive new product developments based on PCP.
  • Create innovative solutions for both new and existing applications.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and other departments to roll out new products and solutions.
  • Manage technical responsibility for a designated product portfolio, including maintenance tasks.
  • Identify market niches, competitive gaps, and new opportunities.
  • Assist local sales teams and global key accounts in resolving complaints and claims.
  • Organize and support training sessions for customers and internal sales teams.
  • Develop technical arguments to support sales and marketing efforts.

Requirements

  • Hold a recently completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in materials, mechanical, civil, or industrial engineering, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Demonstrate strong English communication skills.
  • Possess strong German language proficiency.
  • Show a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently.
