Software Engineering Intern

SIKA is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join the Web & eCommerce Team in Zürich. The role focuses on applying AI and data engineering to build business applications and automate processes.

This internship is part of the Web & eCommerce Team at SIKA. The position provides hands-on experience in software and data engineering, business analysis, and related technical areas to develop business applications and streamline processes.

Responsibilities

• Generate metadata using generative AI tools.
• Develop functional and semantic similarity models for chemical products.
• Create interactive chatbots to present training materials.
• Parse website content using AI while preventing hallucinations and data loss.
• Tag images according to SIKA's ontology and knowledge graph.
• Build recommendation and ranking algorithms for the eCommerce platform.

Requirements

• Fundamental knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language.
• Basic familiarity with database technologies and query languages.
• Understanding of core data engineering and data science principles.
• Foundational knowledge of computer science concepts.
