The Digital Prototyping group at Sika AG is inviting a motivated Mechanical Engineering student to join for a six to twelve-month internship. This role allows the intern to apply engineering expertise alongside advanced prototyping technologies, turning concepts into practical solutions that support research, manufacturing, and new product development.
Responsibilities
- Create and refine CAD models and assemblies
- Operate industrial and professional 3D printing equipment
- Execute 3D scanning and reverse engineering activities
- Assist with rapid prototyping initiatives
- Develop technical visualizations and demonstrations
- Provide engineering support for manufacturing challenges
- Contribute to innovation and product development projects
- Record engineering solutions and established best practices
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
- Demonstrated technical curiosity and eagerness to acquire new skills
- Practical mindset with a passion for building and creating
- Foundational knowledge of CAD software
- Genuine interest in product development, manufacturing, and innovation
- Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for assigned tasks
- Effective communication skills suitable for an international setting
