Robotics Lab Technician Intern

ANYbotics seeks a Robotics Lab Technician Intern in Zürich to maintain hardware, support testing, and ensure laboratory safety for mobile robotics systems.

This internship provides direct, hands-on experience with robotics hardware within a fast-paced technical environment. The position supports ANYbotics' mission to advance mobile robotics in heavy industries by ensuring testing equipment and systems remain in optimal operational condition.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on robotics hardware and subsystems surrounding test cycles.
• Construct and upkeep laboratory infrastructure, including test benches and specialized tools.
• Manage inventory, tools, and safety protocols to keep the workspace organized and efficient.
• Support engineering staff with the physical installation, wiring, and mounting of sensors and testing rigs.
• Carry out standard test protocols for robotics systems under engineering supervision.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a university, applied sciences school, or vocational technical program.
• A practical mindset with a strong interest in hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Methodical organization skills to maintain a safe and tidy laboratory environment.
• Basic knowledge of electronics, including the use of multimeters, wiring, and test equipment.
• Proficient written and spoken English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in makerspaces, university labs, or automotive and electronics workshops.
• Familiarity with the Linux (Ubuntu) operating system and command-line interfaces.
• Basic soldering abilities or experience using electrical crimping tools.
