This position operates at the intersection of engineering and practical deployment, transforming unique concepts into functional products. The technician guides units from initial prototype stages through to scaled production, emphasizing rapid iteration, early failure detection, and swift resolution of issues.
Responsibilities
- Assemble intricate robotic systems from scratch, handling both mechanical and electrical components.
- Construct testing fixtures to support research and development efforts for early-stage prototypes.
- Collaborate directly with engineers to refine designs based on feedback gathered from real-world usage.
- Oversee workshop operations and maintain accurate inventory records.
Requirements
- Strong practical background in mechanics and electronics.
- Proven ability to create wire harnesses, including soldering and crimping tasks.
- Proficiency with power tools and hands-on mechanical assembly.
- Familiarity with 3D printing and other rapid prototyping methods.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Prior experience working with robotic systems.
- Ability to interpret CAD files and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machines and similar equipment.
- Background in PCB design.
