ETH Zurich seeks an intern for fabrication and robotic construction development, focusing on 1:1 prototypes and digital production workflows in a collaborative, on-site setting.
This position supports the creation of full-scale prototypes while providing exposure to startup commercialization within the climate-tech construction sector. The intern will work directly alongside ETH research teams and industry partners to advance digital production and robotic fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Assist with robotic fabrication processes and digital production workflows.
- Participate in material testing, system optimization, and physical prototyping activities.
- Help with documentation, visualization, and technical development tasks.
- Take on additional projects related to product or interface development based on individual interests and skills.
Requirements
- Current student or recent graduate in architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated proficiency in digital fabrication and physical prototyping.
- Fluent command of English.
- Reliability, accuracy, and a strong sense of initiative.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
Nice to have
- Solid programming knowledge.
- Experience with rendering tools.
- Computer science background, particularly in front-end interface development.
- Basic knowledge of German.
