ANYbotics seeks a Junior Verification & Testing Engineer in Zürich to validate the safety and performance of advanced robotic platforms through rigorous testing and analysis.
The company is looking for an early-career professional to join the Verification, Testing & Approval team. This position focuses on ensuring the reliability and safety of mobile robotic systems by supporting verification efforts for both current products and new development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design and carry out verification tests for individual components, subsystems, and complete robotic platforms.
- Construct and upkeep test rigs, measurement setups, sensors, and laboratory hardware.
- Create automated testing workflows and data-processing utilities using Python and Ubuntu.
- Examine telemetry, sensor outputs, and system logs to detect performance boundaries, anomalies, and failure modes.
- Collaborate closely with engineering groups to troubleshoot issues spanning mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
- Produce clear documentation of test methods, outcomes, and conclusions to inform design and product choices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Prior professional, internship, research, or significant project experience involving complex mechatronic or electromechanical systems.
- A practical, hands-on attitude with a strong interest in building, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing physical hardware.
- Proficiency in Python and Linux (preferably Ubuntu) for test automation, data analysis, or engineering tasks.
- Capability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, technical specifications, and system documentation.
- A methodical and analytical work style, with fluent written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- Background in testing robots, drones, vehicles, industrial machinery, medical devices, or other complex physical products.
- Knowledge of C++, ROS, ROS 2, robotics simulation environments, or SolidWorks.
- Experience with test benches, data-acquisition hardware, environmental testing, or hardware-in-the-loop setups.
- Understanding of motors, actuators, sensors, power electronics, PCB systems, or cabling architectures.
- Valid driving licence.
