AXA Group Risk Management in Winterthur seeks an Intern Data Scientist to help build a solvency reporting solution on Databricks and design a modern database for SAP data transformation.
This internship places you within the AXA Group Risk Management team in Winterthur. You will take on a hands-on role focused on developing a solvency reporting solution using Databricks. A key part of the position involves designing and implementing a modern database to transform current SAP-based solvency reporting processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist the team in constructing a solvency reporting solution on the Databricks platform.
- Design and implement a modern database architecture.
- Transform existing SAP-based solvency reporting workflows.
- Propose and develop new analysis features for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Strong coding foundation with proficiency in SQL (MSSQL, MySQL, etc.)
- Solid experience writing SQL queries and understanding relational database concepts
- Programming expertise in Python and/or R
- Comfortable writing production-quality code in at least one of these languages
- Fluent in spoken and written English
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Databricks or cloud platforms
- German language skills
