Inventory Assistant

Escatec Switzerland AG seeks a Junior Inventory Assistant to manage stock records, perform cycle counts, and ensure accurate inventory control for production and distribution.

This position focuses on keeping stock data precise and up-to-date. The role supports daily operations by monitoring inventory levels and handling stock control tasks, which helps maintain efficient production and distribution workflows.

Responsibilities

• Keep inventory records accurate by performing counts and processing material reports and transfers.
• Execute daily cycle counts to verify that physical stock matches system data.
• Compare system quantities against physical counts to identify discrepancies.
• Investigate transaction errors found during variance checks.
• Resolve inventory variances promptly.
• Update system inventory quantities after proper investigation, documentation, and Head of Department approval.
• Generate and distribute weekly reports on aging materials.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas at all times.
• Adhere to First-In-First-Out (FIFO) procedures for material handling.
• Improve Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls in line with standard operating procedures.
• Ensure materials are stored correctly and labels are clearly visible.
• Protect materials from security risks and safety hazards.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in contract manufacturing or a similar role.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently with a disciplined approach.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as BaaN, SAP, or inforLN.
