Supply Chain Assistant-Temporary

Blaser Swisslube AG seeks a Supply Chain Assistant for a temporary role supporting an ERP conversion. The position involves inventory management, procurement, and acting as deputy to the Supply Chain Manager.

This temporary role is designed to support the company during a critical ERP conversion period. The assistant will back up the Supply Chain Manager and ensure smooth operations across all areas of the SCOR model, handling everything from procurement to inventory reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory levels for raw materials, packaging, finished products, and trade goods from purchase order through to payment.
• Source materials and goods while adhering to best practices for stock optimization and risk reduction.
• Process invoices related to inventory, including costs for items, freight, and duties.
• Manage import and export procedures, including documentation and customs clearance.
• Execute annual inventory counts and perform regular cycle counts for reconciliation.
• Enter daily data into the ERP system relevant to supply chain tasks.
• Prepare monthly reports for the Supply Chain Management team.
• Handle general administrative duties such as filing and managing communications via email and phone.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiarity with ERP systems.
• One to three years of professional experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, change management, and total quality management.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with production, quality, inside sales, and finance departments.
• A self-starter attitude with a customer-focused approach and strong teamwork abilities.

Nice to have

• ASCM certification.
• Knowledge of the raw material market for lubricants.
