ISO 27001 Project Leader

Robert Walters Switzerland is recruiting an ISO 27001 Project Leader for a hybrid role in Zürich. The position focuses on establishing a comprehensive information security management system for an international technology organization.

The company is looking for a professional to lead the creation and implementation of a robust security framework. This role is critical for establishing an ISO 27001-compliant Information Security Management System (ISMS) across the entire organization, ensuring that security governance and risk management are integrated into daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organization-wide deployment of an ISMS that meets ISO 27001 standards.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop practical strategies to mitigate identified threats.
• Draft, update, and enforce security policies, operational procedures, and necessary control mechanisms.
• Work closely with various departments to facilitate the adoption of new security protocols.
• Manage the certification audit process, including coordinating with external auditors and preparing required documentation.
• Establish security governance structures and continuously drive improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least five years of professional experience in information security, IT risk management, or compliance.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully leading ISO 27001 implementation projects from initial setup to final certification.
• Possession of an ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certification, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent proficiency in both English and German.
