IT Test & Release Manager

Applicant Management market seeks a Senior IT Test & Release Manager to oversee quality assurance and controlled deployments for critical IT systems, including SAP transformations.

This position is tasked with guaranteeing the stability and high quality of IT solutions throughout the organization. The role is central to strengthening end-to-end quality on business-critical platforms, particularly during major SAP transformation projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s test strategy, setting automation standards and key performance indicators.
• Oversee the planning and execution of testing phases to verify functional, integration, and performance requirements.
• Build and improve test automation frameworks, helping product teams adopt scalable practices.
• Establish release management governance to ensure reliable and compliant software deployments.
• Coordinate release activities with Product Owners and technical teams, including SAP upgrades and data refreshes.
• Conduct risk-based testing and provide go/no-go recommendations based on quality metrics and business impact.
• Align testing and release workflows with Agile, DevOps, and IT service management standards.
• Serve as the main contact for testing and release issues, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT testing, quality assurance, or release management.
• Hands-on experience with SAP environments, specifically ECC and S/4HANA landscapes.
• Proven track record of defining test strategies and implementing automation solutions.
• Experience managing complex releases and change activities in critical business environments.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SAP ALM tools and automation platforms like Tricentis.
• Experience working within Agile, DevOps, or CI/CD frameworks in large enterprises.
