IT Test & Release Manager

Bobst seeks a Senior IT Test & Release Manager to oversee quality, stability, and controlled delivery of IT solutions, with a focus on SAP transformations and automation strategies.

The company is looking for a professional to ensure the quality and stability of its IT solutions while playing a pivotal role in strengthening end-to-end quality for business-critical platforms, including major SAP transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply the organization’s test strategy, covering automation, quality benchmarks, and key performance indicators.
• Direct the planning, tracking, and execution of testing efforts to verify that solutions satisfy functional, integration, performance, and business standards.
• Build and improve test automation capabilities, helping product teams adopt scalable automation methods.
• Create and enforce release management procedures to guarantee controlled, compliant, and reliable software deployments.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, IT Product Managers, and technical groups on end-to-end release activities, including significant SAP upgrades.
• Lead risk-based testing, assess release readiness, and provide go/no-go decisions based on quality data.
• Align testing and release workflows with change, configuration, deployment, Agile, DevOps, and IT service management frameworks.
• Foster strong partnerships with business and IT stakeholders while promoting a culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT testing, quality assurance, release management, or a closely related field.
• Deep expertise in SAP environments, specifically SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
• Practical knowledge of SAP Solution Manager and SAP Cloud ALM.
• Strong background in test management and automation tools, especially Tricentis solutions like Tosca.
• Solid understanding of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and IT service management practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP ALM tools and automation platforms such as Tricentis is highly desirable.
