Senior SAP Enterprise Architect

Robert Walters Switzerland seeks a Senior SAP Enterprise Architect to lead S/4HANA transformations and govern enterprise architecture within complex, multinational environments.

This position is responsible for defining and managing the SAP enterprise architecture roadmap, specifically guiding the shift from legacy ECC systems to a modern S/4HANA landscape. The role ensures that large-scale ERP initiatives align business goals with technical design and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the strategic SAP enterprise architecture roadmap.
• Direct architectural strategies for major ERP transformation projects.
• Manage complex integration landscapes spanning both SAP and external systems.
• Serve as the primary authority for critical architectural design choices.
• Collaborate with senior IT and business leaders to convert objectives into practical architectural blueprints and decision frameworks.
• Apply deep functional knowledge of SAP SD and Order-to-Cash processes.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years focused on Enterprise Architecture in multinational settings.
• Solid proficiency in enterprise architecture methodologies, particularly TOGAF.
• Track record of leading or influencing SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration efforts.
• Expertise in integration architecture, including managing system complexity, interface rationalization, and technical debt.
• Essential hands-on understanding of Order-to-Cash business processes.
• Ability to govern System Integrators, influence design outcomes, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Capacity to balance standardization and flexibility within highly complex, multi-platform environments.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with FICO, MM, and MDG modules is viewed as a significant advantage.
