New Foundations - S4HANA Transformation Technical Manager

Richemont seeks a Senior Technical Manager to lead the target technology architecture for its SAP S/4HANA transformation in Meyrin, Switzerland.

This position is central to Richemont's multi-year initiative to streamline business processes and technology ahead of the SAP S/4HANA migration. The role establishes the organizational, governance, and delivery foundations necessary for a scalable, business-led ERP transformation while defining the target technology architecture and evolution path.

Responsibilities

• Define the future SAP S/4HANA-centric landscape and own the target-state technology architecture.
• Convert scope and simplification decisions into a scalable architecture blueprint.
• Establish clear ERP boundaries to align removed, simplified, rebuilt, extended, or externalized components.
• Lead the integration and extensibility strategy, covering APIs, middleware, and event-driven patterns.
• Evaluate technical feasibility, dependencies, and sequencing.
• Develop technology principles, architecture guardrails, and inputs for Solution Design.
• Collaborate with product and technical teams to enhance SAP S/4HANA capabilities.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in large-scale ERP and platform transformations.
• Proven expertise in Technical Architecture within complex environments.
• Deep knowledge of designing hybrid landscapes, including ERP, satellites, data, integrations, and cloud platforms.
• Ability to engage with senior technology and business leaders, including ExCo-level forums.
• Experience in international multi-entity or multi-brand environments.
• Strong mastery of SAP S/4HANA architecture patterns, clean-core principles, and extensibility models.
• Deep understanding of integration architectures, APIs, middleware, and SAP BTP.
• Ability to translate simplification and legacy constraints into forward-looking architecture choices.
• Strong analytical capability to frame technology trade-offs (standard vs flexibility vs cost).
• Structured decision framing, with a focus on long-term operability and scalability.
• Strong long-term and systems thinking.
• Comfortable holding the line on architectural non-negotiables.
• Credible authority with both technology and business stakeholders.
• Acts as a steward of future value, not a defender of current solutions.
