IT Trading & Treasury Solutions Specialist — EFG International AG

Ticino Clean Sagl seeks a Senior IT Trading & Treasury Solutions Specialist in Lugano to support trading platforms, resolve incidents, and drive technical improvements for a team of 50 traders.

The IT Treasury and Trading team provides essential technical and functional support for applications and processes related to client order execution, trading, treasury, and collateral management. This position ensures service continuity and enhances the quality of deliverables for a trading room of approximately 50 professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end IT support for trading platforms covering Securities Lending & Collateral, Islamic Finance, Securities, and Derivatives, including application maintenance, incident analysis, and vendor liaison.
• Serve as the primary contact for the trading desk regarding broader issues, coordinating with other IT departments (core banking, infrastructure, databases) and Operations teams (back/middle office).
• Manage IT projects for platform evolution or upgrades, including gathering business needs, solution design, documentation, development or vendor coordination, test case creation, UAT support, and post-production rollout.
• Develop internal departmental applications to address gaps in existing systems, focusing on system integration and reporting.
• Administer tools for automating health checks on trading IT platforms to ensure consistent service quality for internal clients.

Requirements

• University degree in computer science, finance, or equivalent background.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, SQL, and Powershell.
• Experience with application servers (Windows, Linux) and database systems (Oracle, MS SQL).
• Solid understanding of financial products (Forex, Securities, Derivatives, Sec Lending) and core banking processes.
• Excellent analytical skills, technical curiosity, and proactivity in identifying optimal tech solutions.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and integrate into a wider IT team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including bank holidays and Saturdays.
• Fluency in Italian and English; French is advantageous.
