Layout & Piping Engineering Manager

Kanadeviainova seeks a Layout & Piping Engineering Manager in Zürich to lead engineering teams and deliver sustainable waste-to-value projects.

The company operates as a global leader in waste infrastructure, focusing on transforming discarded materials into valuable resources such as energy, heat, hydrogen, and fertilizer. This position plays a direct role in that mission by overseeing the engineering execution that turns waste into sustainable assets.

Responsibilities

• Directs the layout and piping project engineering team while reporting to the Project Engineering Manager.
• Ensures engineering projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to high standards, resolving issues and managing interfaces.
• Integrates layout activities and manages the technical execution of piping and valves work packages.
• Develops comprehensive plant layout concepts covering process engineering, construction, electrical instrumentation, control systems, and logistics.
• Creates an information exchange strategy to share all necessary layout data with customers, consortium partners, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinates civil, fire protection, traffic management, and maintenance concepts for the entire plant, liaising with external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with at least five years of experience designing complex plant layouts.
• Strong background in project execution, problem-solving, and efficient performance, including experience in steel structure design, electrical layout engineering, and civil engineering.
• Proficient in engineering tools such as E3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Construction Cloud, with deep knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD methodologies.
• Awareness and understanding of BIM methodology.
• Fluent English communication skills.
