Coni & Partner AG seeks a Lead Auditor for Group Internal Audit within a banking client in Zurich. The role involves leading end-to-end audits across trading, treasury, and risk functions.

The company is looking for a Lead Auditor to join the Group Internal Audit team of a banking client based in Zurich. This position focuses on leading comprehensive audit engagements across key financial areas such as trading, treasury, and portfolio management, ensuring robust internal controls and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee group audits covering Trading, Treasury, Portfolio Management, Risk, or Operations.
• Lead the full audit lifecycle independently, from planning to reporting.
• Manage audit projects within defined timeframes and budget constraints.
• Conduct audits in strict adherence to established group standards.
• Participate in specialized audits with an investigative focus.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls designed to mitigate key risks.
• Draft clear audit reports and present findings to the Head of Internal Audit.
• Act as a strategic partner to line managers, offering constructive solutions to audit findings.
• Take technical responsibility for monitoring the implementation of recommended corrective measures.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of relevant internal policies and external regulatory changes.
• Travel internationally for approximately 5-10% of working time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or Business.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIA, or CFA.
• Proven experience conducting audits within Private Banking.
• Background in auditing Trading, Treasury, Asset Management, or working as a risk manager in the first or second line of defense.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Solid understanding of key risks and associated controls.
• Knowledge of international regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to establish stable partnerships and interact effectively with Senior Management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly task-oriented approach.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Fluency in both German and English.
