Senior Auditor - Audit Financial Services 100% (w/m/d)

Grant Thornton Switzerland seeks a Senior Auditor for its Geneva office to lead financial services audits within a global network. The role requires strong expertise in Swiss regulatory standards and fluency in French and English.

This position supports the Geneva location as part of a multinational platform established by Grant Thornton in the US. The auditor will work within a global network of independent audit, tax, and consulting firms, providing essential oversight and strategic support to financial services clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of annual and consolidated financial statements for financial services clients, evaluating their business and control processes.
• Build and sustain productive relationships with client personnel, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
• Oversee the planning and execution of audit engagements, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a key contact within audit teams, working with clients across the financial services sector and coaching junior team members.
• Participate in interdisciplinary projects and contribute to internal initiatives and strategic tasks.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a strong focus on finance or accounting.
• Possess 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within external audit, ideally gained in a Big4 or comparable environment.
• Demonstrate experience in Swiss regulatory audits, along with a solid understanding of Swiss financial statements, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Exhibit a structured, reliable, and analytical working style, with motivation and interest in further professional development (Swiss CPA).
• Be fluent in French and English.
