Audit Manager IFRS

RSM Switzerland SA seeks a Senior Audit Manager IFRS to lead audit engagements for national and international clients in Geneva or Lausanne. The role requires expertise in IFRS, Swiss CO, and Swiss GAAP FER, with a focus on complex financial reporting and client advisory.

This position involves managing a portfolio of national and international clients, leading audit engagements, and contributing to the growth and development of the Audit practice at RSM Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• Lead audits of annual and consolidated financial statements for clients, ensuring compliance with Swiss CO, Swiss GAAP FER, and IFRS, with IFRS being central to the role.
• Handle complex and judgment-heavy accounting issues during audits.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee audit projects, including risk assessment, budgeting, timelines, and quality checks.
• Lead specialized audits such as capital increases, company formations, and donor audits.
• Advise clients on accounting and reporting, offering practical and actionable solutions.
• Manage daily client interactions and ensure consistent, high-quality service.
• Act as the main contact for assigned clients throughout the year.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop audit team members on complex assignments.
• Support the expansion and development of the Audit team at RSM Switzerland.
• Apply and promote RSM’s methodology, tools, culture, and values, serving as a role model.

Requirements

• Must hold a Swiss Licensed Audit Expert qualification.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in external audit, including 1 to 2 years in a managerial position, with experience serving both local and international clients.
• Strong IFRS expertise and solid understanding of Swiss CO and/or Swiss GAAP FER.
• Practical experience auditing consolidated financial statements, including complex and judgment-intensive accounting issues.
• Proven ability to independently analyze, document, and challenge complex, high-risk accounting matters.
• Experience managing international client portfolios and leading audit teams across multiple complex engagements.
• Strong leadership abilities, including supervising, coaching, and motivating audit teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in French and able to communicate confidently and professionally in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard business applications.
