Senior Manager – Accounting Advisory Services

KPMG AG in Geneva seeks a Senior Manager for Accounting Advisory Services to guide clients on accounting standards, IPO readiness, and M&A support.

This position focuses on helping clients navigate business transformation and ESG consulting challenges. The role centers on advising customers regarding the implementation and application of various accounting standards, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to clients on implementing and applying key accounting frameworks, including IFRS, Swiss GAAP FER, US GAAP, and the Code of Obligations.
• Lead large-scale projects independently, taking full responsibility for outcomes and directing project teams.
• Assist CFOs and Group Accounting Heads in resolving complex accounting and financial reporting questions.
• Conduct IPO readiness assessments and offer M&A support, including the preparation of comfort letters for capital market transactions.
• Analyze intricate accounting issues and address technical inquiries from clients.
• Stay current with regulatory changes to maintain expertise and proactively advise clients.
• Manage existing client relationships, expand professional networks, and contribute to business development efforts.

Requirements

• Extensive practical experience gained within a Big 4 firm or in group accounting/controlling roles at an international organization.
• Strong command of IFRS and/or Swiss GAAP FER standards.
• Fluent proficiency in English.
• A dedicated, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on customer service, deadlines, and teamwork.

Nice to have

• Holding a certified public accountant designation or an equivalent local qualification.
• Knowledge of US GAAP standards.
• Ability to communicate in both French and German.
