Splint Invest seeks a Senior Lead Investment Analyst in Bern to drive due diligence, valuation, and strategic analysis for alternative assets, with a clear path to Head of Investments.

This senior position supports Splint Invest’s mission to democratize access to alternative assets such as fine art, classic cars, and wine. The successful candidate will serve as a key finance professional, gaining hands-on experience in this sector while taking ownership of critical investment processes. Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial and commercial due diligence for current and potential partners.
  • Assess new investment opportunities spanning various alternative asset classes.
  • Identify and analyze exit strategies, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage the monthly valuation workflow for the entire asset portfolio.
  • Perform recovery analyses on underperforming assets and develop corrective action plans.
  • Construct financial models, investment memoranda, and decision papers for executive review.
  • Refine analytical frameworks, valuation methodologies, and internal tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with management on high-level strategic investment decisions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated excellence in analytical and quantitative problem-solving.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in all work outputs.
  • A highly structured and organized approach to project management.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and asset valuation techniques.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of tasks.
  • A curious mindset focused on continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Completion of at least Level II of the CFA Program.
  • Two to six years of experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, private equity, investment banking, consulting, asset management, or a comparable analytical field.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience valuing alternative assets or illiquid investments.
  • Familiarity with financial markets and portfolio management principles.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, Excel, or similar analytical software.
  • Background in designing analytical processes and reporting frameworks.
  • CFA Level III certification or Charterholder status.
