This position focuses on the design and execution of industrial plants operating in cold-weather environments. The successful candidate will lead mechanical static equipment engineering efforts, ensuring robust winterization and freeze protection strategies while managing project schedules and field constraints.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement designs for industrial facilities in freezing conditions, incorporating winterization and freeze protection measures.
- Make and stand by critical engineering decisions, balancing office-based planning with on-site field requirements, winter productivity challenges, and schedule risks.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a mechanical static equipment engineer working on process plants in cold weather climates.
- Strong expertise in designing and specifying API and ASME compliant equipment, including heat exchangers, columns, pressure vessels, storage tanks, and packaged auxiliary units.
- Direct, hands-on experience in designing and executing cold-weather industrial plants, covering winterization, freeze protection, and constructability planning for winter conditions.
- Proven involvement in at least one complete project lifecycle within the chemical, petrochemical, or renewables sectors, spanning FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
