This Master thesis opportunity supports a global initiative focused on procurement analytics. The role centers on converting technical material information into a structured Material DNA, linking it with procurement data to enable clustering, benchmarking, and negotiation support through a pilot category framework.

Responsibilities

  • Focus analysis on a specific pilot product category.
  • Design an initial framework for material intelligence.
  • Experiment with clustering methods and data analysis techniques.
  • Produce actionable insights to aid procurement decisions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's program in a relevant discipline such as Business Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or Business Analytics.
  • Solid grasp of chemistry, materials science, or technical product specifications.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a keen interest in procurement, supply markets, and business impact.
  • Proficient in data science fundamentals, including Python, data cleaning, clustering, text analysis, machine learning, or data visualization.
  • Capable of converting technical details into business-relevant insights.
  • Organized work approach with the ability to manage incomplete or imperfect data.
