Responsibilities
- Drive the design and execution of translational studies in neuroimmunology, specifically targeting stroke.
- Merge clinical investigations with experimental lab work to explore immune responses after cerebral ischemia.
- Organize, perform, and evaluate experiments, utilizing techniques such as FACS and epigenetic analysis.
- Process clinical and experimental datasets alongside cross-functional colleagues.
- Assist in drafting scientific papers and delivering presentations at global conferences.
- Engage in educational activities related to neurology or biomedical sciences.
Requirements
- Hold a Master's degree, ideally in human medicine, neuroscience, biomedicine, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrate a strong passion for translational research within neuroimmunology and stroke.
- Possess foundational skills in data analysis and statistical methods.
- Communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Work effectively on your own and within diverse, interdisciplinary groups.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in laboratory settings, especially with FACS (flow cytometry) or epigenetic techniques.
- Proficiency in German.
