Microcaps AG seeks an Operator for Production Plants in Worben to manage shift-based manufacturing of microcapsules for cosmetics and pharma, supporting the launch of a new production site.
As part of Microcaps AG’s expansion, this position plays a key role in establishing a new production facility. The company, an ETH Zurich spin-off, is scaling novel encapsulation technologies for fine fragrances and nutrition products. The operator will help set up and run the new site, ensuring sustainable water-based delivery systems are manufactured efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Independently operate, monitor, and clean production equipment.
- Coordinate the supply of raw materials and oversee the production of intermediates.
- Collaborate with the industrialization team to adjust and refine process parameters.
- Accurately execute and document work instructions and in-process quality controls.
- Assist the Quality & Development Team in troubleshooting out-of-specification production runs.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks on plant machinery.
- Optimize processes and reduce waste using LEAN principles and Shop floor management.
- Adhere strictly to all safety, quality, and hygiene regulations.
Requirements
- A Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence (EFZ) in a technical field, such as polymechanics, production mechanics, or plant operation.
- Three to five years of experience in GMP-regulated environments within the food, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Availability to work early and late shifts.
- German language proficiency at B2+ level and English at B1+ level.
- A valid Category B driving license.
- Strong skills in Office 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Nice to have
- A background in chemistry, engineering, or another technical discipline with a strong interest in production.
- Prior training as a baker or chef combined with technical qualifications or plant operator experience.
- A forklift license.
- Certification in first aid.
