Operator

Evonik is hiring an Entry-level Operator in Switzerland for a full-time hybrid role. The position focuses on executing batch records, preparing solutions, and operating process equipment under supervision.

This Operator role supports the company's global efforts in developing innovative solutions for sustainability and health. The position is responsible for carrying out engineering and quality-controlled batch processes, including complex solution preparations and equipment operation, while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Apply aseptic techniques independently with limited oversight.
• Follow development, engineering, GLP, or GMP batch records accurately under direct supervision.
• Carry out multi-step solution preparations with guidance.
• Assemble and disassemble process equipment for extrusion, microsphere, liposome, or polymerization processes under supervision.
• Operate PLC-controlled machinery, adjusting set-points as instructed in batch records.
• Utilize basic hand tools for equipment operation.
• Conduct in-process environmental monitoring under supervision.
• Take part in the execution of Installation, Operational, and Performance Qualifications (IOQs) with guidance.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) based on hazard exposure.
• Maintain general area housekeeping standards.
• Identify opportunities for improving facilities, equipment, and procedures.
• Comply with quality systems outlined in the company's Quality Manual.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in a technical field with 0-2 years of relevant industry experience (preferred).
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Fundamental math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, with the ability to perform calculations using provided equations.
• Ability to read and follow detailed written instructions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of general laboratory glassware.
• Basic understanding of system controls and data logging software.
