Plant Operator

DePoly SA seeks a Plant Operator in Sion to manage daily plant operations, ensure safety, and support the scaling of plastic recycling technologies.

This position is integral to the expansion of DePoly SA’s team and directly supports the company’s mission to scale its plastic recycling technology. The operator will manage day-to-day plant activities, ensuring smooth production processes while contributing to process optimization and new product testing.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant equipment, monitor process parameters, and resolve operational issues.
• Handle and process necessary chemicals for plant functions.
• Work with Engineering and R&D teams on new product trials and process improvements.
• Document process performance through reports and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with the shipment coordinator to organize goods dispatch.
• Manage both internal and external delivery logistics.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and update stock records.
• Collect samples from operations and perform basic quality control tests.
• Carry out minor mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Oversee external contractors during maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Hold a Federal Certificate of Capacity as a Chemical Operator or an equivalent qualification.
• Possess at least two years of industrial experience or a strong background in the technology sector.
• Be available for daytime or shift work and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Demonstrate good proficiency in French.
• Have an intermediate command of English.
• Be skilled in Microsoft Office 365, specifically Excel and Word.
• Be comfortable using standard communication tools like email.
• Understand production chain elements such as packaging and storage.
• Hold a valid Swiss working permit or be eligible to work in Switzerland.
• Apply good practices and safety standards specific to the chemical industry.
