Technical Project Engineer

DePoly SA seeks a Senior Technical Project Engineer to lead cross-functional technology development and manufacturing scale-up initiatives at their Monthey plant.

This position serves as the primary technical and project coordination lead for multiple initiatives. The successful candidate will guide complex industrial technologies from early-stage research and development through to full-scale manufacturing implementation. It is designed for a technically versatile professional who thrives on connecting diverse teams and driving the execution of ambitious engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical assessments for the conception, design, prototyping, validation, and scaling of new product concepts.
• Convert market demands, business goals, and customer requirements into precise, scalable engineering specifications.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams spanning R&D, engineering, production, and quality assurance.
• Manage the full lifecycle of technical solutions, from laboratory testing to pilot and commercial-scale manufacturing.
• Facilitate the transfer of technologies and process designs from R&D into industrial settings.
• Set project priorities, timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation in alignment with company objectives.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and external engineering contractors.
• Serve as the central technical point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure projects advance efficiently toward technical and commercial milestones.
• Mentor associate engineers, technicians, and quality staff as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or technology-driven environments.
• Proven experience coordinating technical development or industrial projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong project and partner management skills in fast-paced, value-driven settings.
• Background in product development, process development, equipment development, or technology scale-up.
• Ability to manage projects across a matrix organization without direct authority.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities and evolving project needs.
• Collaborative, hands-on, and execution-oriented mindset.
• Fluent English proficiency.
• Valid Swiss working permit or eligibility to work in Switzerland.
