Baer AG seeks a Senior Platform Engineer in Zürich to design and maintain modern runtime and cloud development environments, focusing on automation, scalability, and developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and upkeep contemporary platform solutions tailored for runtime environments.
• Partner with software engineering groups to jointly design platform features.
• Build smart automations that simplify platform operations, deployment processes, and maintenance routines.
• Guarantee that managed services maintain high availability, strong performance, scalability, and security standards.
• Assist primary stakeholders and resolve intricate technical issues.
• Foster ongoing enhancement by spotting technical debt and spearheading efforts to boost platform maturity.

Requirements

• Demonstrated background as a Platform, DevOps, or Systems Engineer.
• Solid grasp of cloud computing principles, containerization, and orchestration using tools like Kubernetes, Azure, and Ansible.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, particularly Terraform.
• Competence in scripting via PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Background in the .NET and Windows ecosystems, including familiarity with IIS configuration and administration.
• Relevant academic or professional background in Computer Science, IT, or a closely related discipline.
