Senior DevOps Platform Engineer

Vontobel seeks a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer in Zurich to design and operate a scalable enterprise DevOps platform, emphasizing developer experience, security, and automation. The role requires 5+ years of experience and expertise in Azure, CI/CD, and secure development practices.

This role is part of an agile team responsible for building and evolving an enterprise-grade DevOps platform. The engineer will focus on delivering a seamless developer experience while integrating security into every stage of development, leveraging automation and AI to enhance workflows and support development teams across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a scalable and resilient platform supporting development teams.
• Implement automation via CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and self-service tools.
• Apply deep knowledge of Azure cloud, automation tools, and programming languages.
• Assess and integrate new technologies to improve platform efficiency and capabilities.
• Advance DevOps security by enforcing secure coding, SAST/DAST, and software supply chain protections throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support the integration of AI coding assistants and autonomous agents to improve developer workflows.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to development teams, guiding best practices and promoting a strong DevOps culture.

Requirements

• Experience with developer workplace tools, CI/CD, code security, and AI coding assistants.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Highly motivated, responsible, and committed to continuous personal and professional growth.
• Adaptable and collaborative, thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
• Strong communication skills in English.
