Stadlerrail seeks a Procurement Specialist in Białystok to manage supplier relationships and purchasing activities while supporting the expansion of its power converter manufacturing operations.
As Stadlerrail expands its power converter factory to serve global production sites and external clients, this role ensures the steady supply of necessary components and services. The specialist acts as a key link between suppliers and internal teams, managing the end-to-end procurement process to support ongoing growth.
Responsibilities
- Issue purchase orders for components and production services while maintaining supplier records in the ERP system.
- Draft and send requests for quotations (RFQs) to potential vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules with current and prospective suppliers.
- Identify and onboard alternative suppliers and materials to ensure supply chain resilience.
- Build and sustain long-term partnerships with key vendors.
- Coordinate with internal departments, such as engineering and production, to determine material needs.
- Maintain regular contact with suppliers to track order status and resolve issues.
- Analyze procurement data and generate relevant reports for management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, with a specific focus on Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English.
- Solid negotiation skills to secure favorable business terms.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across different internal teams.
Nice to have
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Prior experience working with electrical components.
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving capabilities.
