Procurement Specialist

The company seeks a Procurement Specialist in Rotkreuz to manage indirect materials, optimize supplier portfolios, and drive procurement efficiency within the Swiss sales organization.

This position sits within the Procurement department of the Swiss sales organization. The primary objective is to maintain a steady supply of goods at competitive rates while leveraging purchasing power to enhance overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations for indirect material purchases.
• Improve the supplier base by utilizing data-driven reporting.
• Lead the development of innovative procurement methods independently.
• Assist in planning and controlling operational purchasing activities.
• Assess, choose, and oversee external partners and vendors.
• Contribute to local, regional, and global tenders alongside purchasing initiatives.
• Facilitate contract negotiations, manage documentation, monitor agreements, and handle terminations.
• Assist with internal and external audits, including supplier evaluations.
• Provide guidance to specialist departments on procurement tasks, manage supplier relationships, and address compliance matters.
• Share responsibility for refining procurement workflows and support operational buying with necessary tools and specifications.
• Propose and execute changes regarding suppliers, products, or processes.
• Develop reports and dashboards to streamline procurement management.
• Collaborate with leasing providers to coordinate vehicle fleet management.

Requirements

• Hold a completed bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
• Demonstrate fluency in both German and English.
• Possess strong IT skills, particularly with SAP.
• Show experience in process optimization.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Exhibit conceptual thinking and the ability to quickly grasp complex topics.
• Work independently as a team player with assertiveness and initiative.
• Display excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Nice to have

• Previous project experience in procurement, combined with business fluency in German, English, and SAP, ensuring confidence in an international setting.
• One to two years of experience working on digital, procurement, or supply chain projects.
• Familiarity with B2B interfaces or internet programs is beneficial.
