Coherent Switzerland AG in Zürich seeks a Mid-level Logistics professional for onsite warehouse operations, international shipments, and inventory management.
This position supports a key research and production hub focused on advanced photonics and semiconductor laser technologies. The role involves hands-on warehouse duties, managing international shipments, handling customs procedures, and overseeing inventory control within an engineering-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily warehouse tasks such as picking orders, inspecting incoming and outgoing goods, and loading or unloading deliveries.
- Organize international shipments for sensitive products and equipment.
- Deliver materials to production areas and assist with internal distribution.
- Package equipment and prepare customer orders to meet quality and transport standards.
- Oversee equipment calibration and repairs, including processing customer returns.
- Manage import and export processes, prepare customs paperwork, and coordinate shipments.
- Conduct warehouse inventory counts and keep records accurate.
- Store and handle hazardous materials following safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling initiatives.
Requirements
- Completed Swiss logistics apprenticeship (Logistiker EFZ) or technical vocational training with several years of logistics experience.
- Professional experience in logistics within an international manufacturing environment.
- Experience importing and exporting complex machinery and components.
- Native-level German and good written and spoken English.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.

- Experience supporting projects is advantageous
