Stadler Rheintal AG seeks a Senior Product Manager for its Service Division in Frauenfeld to lead the commercialization of data-driven products and drive digital transformation within the rail industry.
The company is looking for an entrepreneurial owner to manage products within its Intelligent Fleet group, such as Condition-Based Maintenance. The role focuses on turning vehicle data and sensor insights into scalable value propositions for external customers while advancing the digital transformation of the rail sector.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the global product roadmap for digital service solutions, ensuring alignment with the wider digital ecosystem and managing the entire lifecycle from business cases to profitability and customer KPIs.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to strengthen market positioning and uncover new growth opportunities.
- Convert technical capabilities into customer-focused products, create high-quality marketing materials, and establish sustainable pricing models for external revenue.
- Gather, structure, and prioritize requirements from customers and stakeholders, then translate these into clear specifications for development teams.
- Equip global sales teams with training and workshops, and assist with complex tenders to ensure successful product positioning.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics), Computer Science, or Business Informatics.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management with a strong background in digital products, software platforms, or data-driven solutions.
- Proven expertise in agile product development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban, along with modern product discovery techniques.
- Ability to communicate complex technical systems as clear customer value propositions and business cases, supported by effective marketing and stakeholder presentations.
- Full professional proficiency in both German and English.
Nice to have
- Experience with IoT platforms or integrating digital products into larger corporate ecosystems.
- Background in the rail industry or working with large-scale industrial assets and maintenance organizations.
- Familiarity with software/hardware integration, IoT architectures, or vehicle systems such as TCMS.
