Head of Product Management – Power Transmission & Distribution

Stäubli AG seeks a Head of Product Management for its Power Transmission & Distribution division in Allschwil, CH, to lead global product strategy and team development.

This position sits within the Power Transmission & Distribution division of Electrical Connectors, where the primary objective is to ensure reliable and efficient energy transmission. The role is central to executing the company's growth strategy by managing the global product portfolio and leading the product management team.

Responsibilities

• Drive the strategic evolution of the global product portfolio and roadmap, ensuring alignment with market trends and competitive pressures.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the global product management team to meet specific growth targets and strategic objectives.
• Conduct market and competitor analyses to formulate and execute international strategies covering product, place, price, and promotion.
• Oversee product development projects, defining requirement specifications and ensuring the final products are market-ready.
• Manage the complete product lifecycle, from technical documentation and market launch to ongoing optimization.
• Collaborate closely with sales, business development, R&D, marketing, and global customers to expand market presence and strengthen key relationships.

Requirements

• University degree in engineering (such as electrical or mechanical) or business administration, combined with strong technical aptitude.
• Proven experience in product management, sales, product development, or project management within an industrial setting.
• Deep understanding of product portfolio management and the international market landscape.
• Proficiency with ERP systems like SAP, CRM tools such as Aurea, and Office 365.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with a talent for motivating teams and aligning them strategically.
• Strong customer and market focus, supported by analytical skills and networked thinking.
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work style, with a willingness to travel internationally approximately 15% of the time.
• Fluent command of English.

• Fluency in German and additional languages is considered an advantage.
