The company seeks a Project Construction Manager in Zürich to oversee erection planning and site coordination for waste-to-energy infrastructure projects.
This position supports the company's mission to transform waste into energy, heat, hydrogen, and other resources by managing construction erection plans and ensuring site activities align with safety, quality, and budget targets.
Responsibilities
- Create and oversee erection plans that meet health, safety, environmental, quality, schedule, and budget standards.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and HSMIC to allocate resources effectively.
- Assist on-site teams in meeting work package goals.
- Define and acquire installation packages and equipment alongside the Site Manager.
- Hire and manage third-party workers for site operations.
- Track project progress, spot potential risks or delays, and coordinate corrective actions with the Project Director.
- Design erection and crane sequencing strategies.
- Evaluate constructability and schedule site tasks.
- Enforce company safety protocols and industry best practices on location.
- Deliver regular updates to the Project Director regarding site status, risks, and ongoing work.
Requirements
- Proven background in plant erection, ideally within large industrial facilities.
- Hands-on experience in site management, erection planning, and cross-functional project execution.
- Deep understanding of the market and products in this sector.
- Skill in developing strategic plans based on thorough analysis.
- Business judgment to make informed decisions and drive results within assigned responsibilities.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Competence with Microsoft Office, SAP, and PIRS software.
- Current SCC and IOSH certifications.
- Capacity to inspire staff and lead technical discussions with external contractors.

- Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
