Kanadeviainova seeks an Equipment & Packages Engineering Manager in Zürich to lead engineering work packages for waste-to-energy projects, ensuring timely, high-quality, and budget-compliant delivery.
This position drives the engineering execution for key project components, directly supporting the company's mission to transform waste into valuable resources such as energy, heat, and hydrogen through advanced technological solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the 'Equipment & Packages Engineering' work package, covering Balance of Plant, Water Steam Cycle, and Flue Gas Treatment components.
- Prepare engineering documentation for internal departments and external partners, including clients and subcontractors.
- Ensure purchasing lots and engineering deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team (Mechanical, Process, and Arrangement Engineers) to guarantee scope functionality.
- Conduct supplier negotiations, track progress, allocate resources, and maintain clear communication across Zurich and international sites.
- Meet sub-project objectives regarding schedule, quality, and financial performance.
Requirements
- Degree in mechanical engineering from a University of Applied Sciences or ETH.
- Minimum five years of project management experience.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and process engineering, with preferred experience in industrial plant construction.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Strong negotiation abilities and high resilience.
Nice to have
- Fluency in English, German, or additional languages is beneficial.
