The Project Manager, Engineering oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering initiatives that support manufacturing operations, product development, and continuous improvement. This role collaborates with diverse teams to ensure projects meet timelines, scope, and regulatory standards, contributing to operational efficiency and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering projects from start to finish, defining scope, creating schedules, managing budgets, and overseeing risk mitigation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and progress reports for stakeholders and leadership.
- Identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate concerns as needed.
- Ensure all projects adhere to quality systems, regulatory standards, and internal guidelines.
- Manage change control processes to maintain alignment with project goals.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance engineering and operational processes.
- Monitor project performance metrics and document lessons learned for future projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field required.
- 5–8 years of experience in engineering project management or a similar engineering role.
- Proven track record managing cross-functional projects in manufacturing, medical device, or regulated settings.
- Strong skills in project planning, scheduling, and organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
- Solid grasp of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
- English language proficiency required.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences industries.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Background in capital projects, equipment implementation, or process improvement.
- Knowledge of regulatory and quality standards including FDA and ISO.
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred.
