Product Engineering Manager

Kanadeviainova in Zürich seeks a Mid-Senior Product Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams in delivering technical solutions on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. The role covers the full engineering lifecycle and requires strong technical and leadership skills in EPC environments.

This role is responsible for leading engineering teams within assigned project scopes, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of technical solutions. It encompasses ownership of the entire engineering lifecycle, from initial design through to handover, including oversight of risk, budget, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams for assigned project scopes, ensuring delivery meets schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Manage the full engineering lifecycle, from design and procurement to construction, commissioning, and handover, including risk, budget, and document control.
• Coordinate across disciplines and stakeholders—including customers, suppliers, and consultants—to ensure seamless collaboration and data flow.
• Oversee execution planning, design reviews, change management, and compliance with contractual, quality, and HSE standards.
• Support procurement and on-site phases by leading technical negotiations, resolving engineering challenges, and verifying system functionality.

Requirements

• Solid technical background in engineering (process, plant, layout/piping) with experience in project execution within EPC environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams on complex projects (minimum 5 years for senior level).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills, with the capacity to explain technical matters to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with suppliers and procuring complex systems, along with proficiency in engineering tools such as DMS, CAD, and 3D modeling software.
• Proven project management and methodological skills including RCA, negotiation, and presentation; fluent in English.
