Project Leader for Customer Projects

Evatec seeks a Project Leader for Customer Projects to manage technical installations and acceptance phases. The role requires strong project management skills, fluency in German and English, and a technical background.

This position focuses on steering customer projects from the initial order through to final installation and acceptance. The Project Leader acts as the central liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring that technical goals are met while maintaining strict control over budgets, timelines, and quality standards within Evatec’s high-tech thin film deposition equipment division.

Responsibilities

• Guide customer projects from order intake through setup, coordinating kick-offs and aligning with internal teams.
• Control project budgets, schedules, and quality metrics to ensure structured execution across all phases.
• Supervise purchasing processes and maintain visibility into supply chain progress.
• Plan and execute installation and acceptance activities (IAT) in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Serve as the primary contact for both clients and internal stakeholders, proactively advancing project milestones.

Requirements

• Approximately five years of experience in technical project management within an industrial setting.
• A higher technical degree (FH, ETH, or University) or an equivalent qualification.
• Fluent proficiency in both German and English.
• Willingness to travel roughly 15–20% of the time.

Nice to have

• Prior exposure to PVD or vacuum technology, or a strong eagerness to learn these areas.
